Description
Ptolemaic Kingdom. Ptolemy VI Philometor. First reign, 180-164 B.C. Æ (22 mm, 11.36 g, 12 h). Salamis, under regency of Eulaios, ca. 176-170 B.C. Diademed head of Zeus-Ammon right / ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΠΤΟΛΕΜΑΙΟΥ, eagle standing left on thunderbolt; in left field, lotus; between legs, ΕΥΛ. Svoronos 1399-401; SNG Copenhagen 294-5. Rare. Attractive green patina with reddish-earthen highlights. Good strike. Good very fine.
