Ptolemaic Kingdom. Ptolemy VIII Euergetes II (Physcon). Second reign, 145-116 B.C. AR tetradrachm (25 mm, 11.82 g, 12 h). Kition, RY 29 (142/1 B.C.). Diademed head of Ptolemy I right, wearing aegis / B[A]ΣIΛ[EΩΣ] ΠTOΛEMAIOY, eagle, wings folded, standing left on thunderbolt; in left field, date (L ΚΘ); in right field, ΚΙ. Svoronos 1578; Tziambazis 57; SNG Copenhagen -. A rare coin from a scarce mint. Some metal issues. Nearly very fine.
