Indo-Parthians. Gondophares-Sases. Early-mid 1st century A.D. BI tetradrachm (23 mm, 9.46 g, 10 h). Taxila. Corrpt Greek legend, Gondophares-Sases seated right on horseback, arm extended; in right field, symbol above Karosthi 'Sri' / Maharajasa Rajadirajasa Guduvharabhrataputrasa Avadagashasa (Karosthi), Zeus Nikephoros standing half-left, holding Nike and scepter; in left field, monogram; in right field Greek B over Karosthi 'Bu'. Senior 231.26. Rare. Lightly toned. Good very fine.
