Description
Indo-Parthians. Abdagases. Late 1st century B.C.-early 1st century A.D. BI tetradrachm (25 mm, 9.60 g, 7 h). Taxila. Corrupt Greek legend, Abdagases seated right on horseback, arm extended; in lower right field, symbol / Guduvharabhradaputrasa Maharajasa Avadagashasa (Karosthi), Zeus standing half-right, extending arm and holding scepter; in left field, monogram; in right field monogram over Karosthi 'Jham'. Senior 227.13T. Rare. Well struck on a full flan. Toned. Very fine.
