ANTIQUITIES, Narino Pedestal Bowl. An excellent Narino pedestal bowl from the Capuli cultural complex of Colombia, ca. 850 - 1500 AD. This huge example is 8-1/4" in diameter, 6" high and is decorated with the characteristic negative resist designs this type is known for. In excellent condition, with heavy dendrites and mineral deposits. Deaccessioned from the Tampa Museum of Art.
