Lot 297: ANTIQUITIES.A Lot of 3 Egyptian Faience Amulets

A lot of 3 Egyptian faience amulets, Late Period, c. 664 - 332 BC. The first example is a figure of the god Bes, standing facing, holding a pair of ferocious lions a bay, 30 x 20mm. The red faience a bit weathered and re-attached at midsection. The second is a Wedjat of ‘Eye of Horus’ amulet with incised detail, 21 x 17mm, minor chipping. And last a pale blue frit head of a panther, perhaps a bit earlier than the others, which served as a central element in a necklace. There a large vertical hole in the base of the neck which exits in two smaller holes at the top of the head. Intact. An interesting trio! Ex Orange County private collection.
