Lot 301: ANTIQUITIES. A Nice Egyptian Terracotta Figure of Harpokrates

A detailed terracotta figure of Harpokrates, Ptolemaic, 3rd – 2nd Century BC. The youthful god sits on a chair with nicely turned legs, wearing a long robe, open to expose his belly and genitals. He wears a wreath and a headdress consisting of a solar disc and plumes, a jar under his left arm, right index finger to his mouth. Backside plain with circular vent. H: l4” (10.2 cm). Intact with great detail and remains of white dressing. Ex Orange County private collection. Value Range $350 - $450.
