A Greek ceramic Guttus, or oil dispenser, Magnia Graecia, c. 4th Century BC, the low, rounded body with a band of vertical ribbing for grip and sits on a ring base. The flared spout leans at an angle and is backed by a strap handle. L: 4 ½” (10.8 cm). Intact, the body with age cracks, remains of dark brown slip and light deposits throughout. Ex Orange County private collection. Value Range $300 - $400.
