A beautiful Maya bowl from the Peten region of Guatemala, c. 400 – 700 AD. It is 7-1/4" in diameter and is decorated with several celestial symbols painted in black over bright red slip. Intact, with vivid paint, good root marks and mineral deposits. Ex Eiserman estate. Value range: $500 - $800.
