An excellent Moche I figure from Peru, c. 50 BC – 100 AD. This seated male is 6-1/4” high and is depicted with hands resting on his knees. His deeply lined or scarified face is highly expressive and he has a coca bag slung over his shoulder. This rare early effigy is nicely detailed and has good mineral deposits. Ex Espinoza estate. Value range: $650 - $800
