Description
A nice Gnathian-ware trefoil oinochoe, Magnia Graecia, c. 350 - 320 BC, the neck and shoulders decorated with a banding and a vine pattern below. Also known as a trefoil lip jug, this type of vessel was used for serving wine or water and was refilled by dipping it into a larger krater or similar basin.Ex Orange County private collection. Value Range $700-$800.
