Description
Arabia Felix, Saba'. 3rd-2nd centuries B.C. AR unit (18 mm, 5.09 g, 6 h). Helmeted head of Athena right, 'N' on cheek / AΘΕ, owl standing right, head facing; behind, olive sprig and crescent; before, Sabaean 'T'. Munro-Hay 1.4i3; HGC 10, 721. Perfect centering and a nice round flan. Very rare this nice, and far superior by far to the handful of specimens illustrated in Munro-Hay and in various online databases. Extremely fine.
