Phrygia, Laodicea ad Lycum. Nero. As Caesar, A.D. 50-54. Æ (15 mm, 4.06 g). Under Claudius. Anto... Polemon, son of Zeno, priest for the fourth time. ΝΕΡΩΝ ΚΑΙΣΑΡ, bare-headed and draped bust of Nero right / [Π]ΟΛΕΜΩΝΟ[Σ Υ]ΙΟΥ ΖΗΝΩΝΟ[Σ] ΛΑΟΔΙΚΕΩΝ, tripod surmounted by serpent left. RPC 2916; SNG von Aulock 3839; SNG Copenhagen 561; BMC 161. Smooth dark brown patina with old cabinet drawer highlights. Very fine.
