Description
Anonymous [Grain-ear]. Ca. 211-208 B.C. Æ sextans (20 mm, 4.74 g, 3 h). Uncertain mint in Sicily. Head of Mercury right, wearing winged petasus; above, two pellets / [ROMA] in exergue, prow of galley right; above, grain-ear. Crawford 72/15; Sydenham 195d. Very rare - only two specimens in Paris. Green patina. Overstruck on a semis. Very fine.
