Hadrian. A.D. 117-138. Æ as (25 mm, 12.02 g, 6 h). Rome, ca. A.D. 134-138. [HADRI]ANVS AVG COS III P P, bare-headed and draped bust of Hadrian right / AFRICA, S C in exergue, Africa reclining left against rock, holding scorpion and cornucopiae; at her feet, modius containing grain ears. RIC 841; BMC 1712. Brown patina, minor roughness. Very fine.
