Geta. As Caesar, A.D. 198-209. AR denarius (18 mm, 3.04 g, 12 h). Rome, under Septimius Severus and Caracalla, A.D. 200-202. P SEPT GETA CAES PONT, bare-headed, draped and cuirassed bust of Geta right / PRI-NC IVVENTVTIS, Geta, in military attire, standing facing, head left, holding baton and scepter; behind, trophy. RIC -; BMC -; RSC 158a (Tinchant Collection). Unpublished in RIC and BMC. Well struck and centered on a nice full flan, a hint of porosity. Choice extremely fine.

The normal type of this issue shows Geta draped but without cuirass. RSC records the type in the Tinchant Collection.
