Description
PTOLEMAIC KINGS of EGYPT. Ptolemy I, as Satrap. 323-305 BC. AR Tetradrachm (28mm - 15.59 g). Alexandria mint. Struck 310-305 BC. Head of Alexander right, wearing elephant skin headdress; small D before elephant's ear / Athena Alkidemos walking right, with spear and shield; monogram to left, two monograms and eagle in right field. Svoronos 146; SNG Copenhagen 1. Good VF, toned, a little porous, obverse slightly double struck.
