KYRENAICA. Kyrene. Circa 308-277 BC. AR Didrachm? (19mm - 5.49 g). Head of Karneios right / Silphium plant, no inscriptions. SNG Copenhagen -; BMC 266-7. Near VF, toned. Scarce issue.

A peculiar issue struck on a lighter standard than the normal didrachms from Kyrene. The style is a bit less refined and there are no controls or ethnic on the reverse. There are no examples from this issue in SNG Copenhagen, 2 in BMC and none on Coin Archives.
