Antonia, mother of Claudius (Augusta, AD 37 and 41). AE dupondius (13.65 g. 29 mm). Rome mint, ca. AD 41-42. ANTONIA-AVGVSTA, draped bust of Antonia right, hair bound in long plait / TI • CLAVDIVS • CAESAR • AVG • P • M • TR • P • IMP, Claudius, veiled and togate, standing left, simpulum in right hand, scroll in left; S-C across fields. RIC I, 92 (Claudius). So beautiful brown old cabinet patina.
