A pair of Egyptian steatite cowroid scaraboids, Late Middle Kingdom type scaraboid, c. 18th Century BC, the first with rounded backside and a pair of Nile perch on the base, 20 x 14mm, the second with a highly domed back and a cord device flanked by ‘ankhs’, 17 x 13mm. Both holed lengthwise for suspension and are intact. Ex Los Angeles private collection. Value range $250 - $350.
