Description

A pair of plate brooches from Roman Britain, 2nd Century AD, including a lozenge-type with diamond-shaped bezel containing green and blue enamel, L: 2.8 cm, and an equal-ended type with rows of silver inlay flanking the central portion containing green enamel, L: 3.3 cm. Both intact with original pin and catch. Superb examples in a great state of preservation for the types.
