A nice Roman red-ware lamp from North Africa, 3rd Century AD, mold made, with rounded carination and central disc containing the head of the goddess Hera within an inset stylized wreath border. The spout is ringed with a low ridge on either side running around the rounded nozzle, unpierced stump handle at back; ring foot on base. L: 5 ¼” (13.3 cm). Intact with light deposits and signs of use. Ex Los Angeles private collection. Value Range $350 - $450.
