Description
Germany: Brunswick-Wolfenbuttel. Heinrich Julius (1589-1613). Amazing AR Taler "Wasp Taler" 1599. NGC AU58, toned, sharp.
Mint: Osterode by mintmaster Heinrich Oeckeler.
Obv: Crowned lion seated left, surrounded by ten wasps; eagle with wings spread above; to left, rays emerging from cloud.
Rev: Twelve coats-of-arms.
Ref: Dav. 9093; Welter 630
Grade: NGC graded and certified as AU58, nicely toned. Very Rare so nice! Great collectable piece!
