CRISPUS, Caesar. 317-326 AD. Æ Follis (18mm - 2.67 g). Nicomedia mint. Struck 324-5 AD. FL IVL CRIS-PVS NOB CAE, laureate, draped and cuirassed bust left / PROVIDEN-TIAE CAESS, camp-gate with no doors and two turrets, star above; SMNB. RIC VII 91/2 var.; LRBC 1077 var. Good VF, dark green patina with some earthen highlights and minor cleaning marks. Struck from the same obverse die as the previous lot.

The engraver of this coin tried to use the obverse legend found on the unbroken legend variety (RIC 91). Upon getting to the end of the legend he realized he had run out of room and left the final S off the legend.
