KINGS of BAKTRIA, Indo-Greek Kings. Menander. Circa 165/155-130 BC. AR Drachm (18mm - 2.43 g). Diademed heroic bust left, with aegis and spear / Athena Alkidemos advancing right, hurling thunderbolt and raising shield; monogram in right field. Bopearachchi Série 3B; SNG ANS 686-90. Near EF, lightly toned, some light porosity on the reverse. Scarcer issue with the obverse legend reading clockwise, not with the kings name below the bust.
