Macedonian Kingdom. Alexander III 'the Great'. 336-323 B.C. AR tetradrachm (29 mm, 16.90 g, 1 h). Mesambria, ca. 275-225 B.C. Pausanias, magistrate. Head of Herakles right, wearing lion's skin headdress / BAΣIΛEΩΣ [A]ΛEΞANΔPOY, Zeus seated left, holding eagle and scepter; in inner left field, Corinthian helmet to right above ΠA monogram. Price 992; Karayotov mon. 5, 39 (O7/R21); Topalov 13. VF, scrape on obverse, slight die shift along bridge of nose.
