Laureate head of Apollo right; star behind, ROMA below, X below chin / The Dioscuri standing left beside their horses, which are standing left, drinking at a fountain; crescent left, A. ALBINVS. S. The type relates to the battle of Lake Regillius, at which the Roman army was commanded by A. Postumius Albus. The Dioscuri were said to have assisted the Romans in their victory, and the reverse of this type shows them watering their horses at the fountain of Futurna in the Roman Forum, where they were supposed to have arrived on the eve of the battle.
