JULIA DOMNA, wife of Septimius Severus. Augusta, 193-217 AD. AR Denarius (17mm - 3.59 g). Rome mint. IVLIA AVGVSTA, draped bust right / VENERI GE-N-ETRICI, Venus standing left, holding patera in right hand, scepter in left. RIC IV 578 (Septimius); BMCRE 84 (Septimius); RSC 185. Good EF, well struck on a nice flan, a small rough spot below chin keeps this from being FDC.
