SASANIAN KINGS. Ardashir I. AD 224-241. AR Drachm (3.88 gm; 26 mm). Mint C (Ctesiphon). Diademed bust of Ardashir I right, wearing close-fitting headdress lacking earflaps and with korymbos. Reverse Fire altar with diadems; no attendants. Göbl III/2/2. Some minor hairline scratches otherwise well struck. Choice EF.
