ET ROI., laureate head of Napoleon I right; ANDRIEU F. on neck truncation / TEMPLE D'AUGUSTE A POLA. around, L'ISTRIE CONQUISE / AN MDCCCVI. in two lines in exrgue, front view of tetrastyle temple of Augustus with ROMAE ET CESARI AUGUSTO engraved on the architrave between two Victories; in fields to left an right respectively, BRENET F. - DENON D.. Bramsen 512; Julius 1547. Attractive purplish toning in the recesses on an overall a rich reddish-brown patina. Superb extremely fine.
