Sasanian Kingdom. Hormizd II. A.D. 303-309. AR drachm (26 mm, 4.24 g, 2 h). Draped bust of Hormizd II right, wearing eagle crown with korymbos / Garlanded fire altar between two attendants; in flames, bust of Ahuramazda left. Göbl I/1a; Paruck 176; Alram 761. Good VF.

Hormizd II was the son of Narseh. Although he accomplished very little during his reign, the rock sculptures at Naqsh-i-Rustam are memorials to his life.
