Elagabalus. A.D. 218-222. AR denarius (19 mm, 2.92 g, 12 h). Rome, A.D. 221/2. IMP ANTONINVS PIVS AVG, laureate and draped bust of Elagabalus right, horn on forehead / SVMMVS SACERDOS AVG, emperor standing left, sacrificing out of patera over tripod-altar, holding branch; in left field, star. RIC 146; BMC 232-3; RSC 276. Good VF, small flan flaw on obverse, a few deposits (can be removed).
