Description
KINGS of PERSIS. Vadfradad (Autophradates) II. Early to mid 2nd Century BC. Silver Tetradrachm (16.84 gm; 25 mm). Bearded head of Autophradates II right, wearing diadem and kyrbasia adorned with eagle / Fire temple of Ahura-Mazda, above, half-figure of Ahura-Mazda, to left, king standing right, to right, eagle standing left on standard. Alram 546; Klose & Müseler 3/1, p.41, 28; Sunrise 574. Well struck on a nice flan. Very rare variety with cresent under neck at 6. Choice EF. Lightly toned. Very Rare.
