JOHN II. 1118-1143. AV Hyperpyron (32mm - 4.08 g). Constantinople mint. Struck 1137-1143. Christ enthroned facing, raising hand in benediction and holding Gospels / John standing facing, holding labarum and akakia, being crowned by the Virgin. DOC 3; SB 1940. VF, wavy flan with two small edge splits. This coin should be slightly scyphate shaped (cup shaped), but it has been flattened.
