Description
State of South Carolina. March 2, 1872. Uncut remainder sheet of four notes $5, $5, $10, $10. Criswell 5 and 6; Sheheen 12 and 13. Light fold between the $5 and $10 notes and a few other peripheral crinkles, but XF-AU overall. Due to fraud at the highest levels in state government, the state legislature repudiated this entire issue and it never entered circulation.
