Description
Nero Claudius Drusus (died 9 BC), Sestertius, Rome, AD 42-3, 23.39g, 34mm. Bare head left / Claudius seated left on curule chair, holding branch and resting hand on lap; weapons and armor on either side of globe beneath. RIC I 109 (Claudius). Near Very fine, several deep cuts (seemingly made on purpose) and tiny countermark with three dots above the M at 5' reverse. From the collection of a WWI German lieutenant.
