ROMAN EMPIRE. Nero. 54-68 AD. AR Denarius (2.94 gm; 18 mm). Struck 64-65 AD. NERO CAESAR AVGVSTVS, laureate head right / IVPPITER CVSTOS, Jupiter seated left, holding thunderbolt in right hand, sceptre in left. RIC I 53; BMCRE 74; BN 220; WCN 57; RSC 119. Sharply struck on a nice full flan. A bit harshly cleaned, otherwise well struck. Choice EF.
