Description
ROMAN EMPIRE. Galba. 68-69 AD. Æ Sestertius (23.86 gm; 36 mm). Laureate and draped bust of Galba right. Reverse: ROMA in exergue; S C. Roma seated left, holding a spear and resting her arm on a shield set on a rock. RIC 44 (obv varient, this obverse type not listed with these legend-Unpublished). Well struck on a nice broad flan. Brown reddish patina. Nicely centered. Choice Good VF. Rare.
