Iron Bearded Ax Head. Baltic, X-XV. Bearded ax (blade longer at bottom) with heavy socket with square back and oval slot for haft. Likely a tool rather than a weapon. Reportedly found in a Viking site and shape is typical for a Viking ax head; but it could be later, as styles in the Baltic states were more stagnate, hence our wider date range. 2.5 x 2.75” A few minor chips but choice for iron.
