Description
Northwest Gaul, Coriosolites. Ca. 100-50 B.C. BI stater (20 mm, 6.26 g, 12 h). Head with wild hair right / Rider on horseback left; symbol above. Delestrée & Tache 2341. Toned. Very fine.
Puchased by the previous owner from Stacks, 30 August 1979, for $50.
The Coriosolites were a somewhat obscure Celtic people of Armorica (coastal Gaul in and around modern Brittany) known to Julius Caesar.
