Description
Sicily, Syracuse. Hieron II. 275-215 B.C. Æ (19 mm, 6.52 g, 3 h). Diademed head of Poseidon left / [IEPΩ-NOΣ], ornamented trident between two dolphins. Cf. SNG ANS 965. Sandy-green patina with some red-brown on the highest points. Very fine.
