Description
Macedonian Kingdom. Alexander III 'the Great'. 336-323 B.C. Æ (17 mm, 5.47 g, 6 h). Uncertain Macedonian mint, lifetime issue, ca. 332-323 B.C. Head of Herakles right, wearing lion's skin headdress / ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ, bow in bow-case and club; below, A. Price 332. Dark green patina with hints of underlying red. Attractive style reminiscent of the Milesian issues of Alexander. Nice very fine.
