Islands off Thrace, Samothrace. 3rd-2nd centuries B.C. Æ (19 mm, 4.88 g, 6 h). Pytho..., magistrate. Helmeted and draped bust of Athena right / ΣΑ-ΜΟ, Kybele seated left, holding patera and scepter; in right field, magistrate's name: ΠΥΘΟ. Schönert-Geiss 13; HGC 6, 321. Olive-green patina. About as nice as these come. Good very fine.
