VIRTVS PROBI INVICTI AVG, helmeted and cuirassed bust left, holding shield and spear / SECVRIT PERP, Securitas standing facing, head left, leaning upon column to right and holding head; -/I//VIXXI. RIC V 527; Pink VI/1, p. 67. Wonderful example, possibly the best example of this rare type. RARE *VIRTUS PROBI INVICTI* PART OF THE EQVITI SERIES. There are a lot of Probus collections that are missing this coin. The obverse legend giving him the title of invincible is what makes it special. Wonderful strike on a nice broad flan. Brown patina. Choice Superb. Rare.
