Cross crosslet, with X at center and pellet within crescent on shaft, on globus above four steps, facing crowned busts of Basil, wearing loros, on l., and Constantine, wearing chlamys, on r., triple border. Rev. Inscription of Basil and Constantine in five lines across field, triple border. DOC 17c; Sear 1812. Lovely strike on a nice full flan. Choice EF. Toned. Scarce
