Description
ABBASID, Harun Al Rashid. 786-809 AD.(170-193 AH). Æ Fulus (2.26 gm; 20 mm). Obverse: Mohamad Rasoul al-Allah (Mohamad is prophet of Allah), with name "Yaqub" at the top and "bin Ishaq" at the bottom, no mint name, year 170, which is the first year of the reign of Abbasid Khalif Harun Al Rashid. Yaqub bin Ishaq more than likely is a reference to the governor or military commander where the specific region was under his control. Album 338; Tabatabai pp-170-190. Well struck on a nice flan. Choice EF. Original find reddish green patina. Extremely rare with unrecorded name of governor.
