KINGS of MACEDON. Alexander III 'The Great'. 336-323 BC. AV Stater (18mm - 8.59 g). Uncertain mint. Circa 323-280 BC. Helmeted head of Athena right; serpent on helmet / Nike standing left, holding wreath in right hand, stylis in left; A and a torch to left. Price -. Near EF, lightly toned with underlying luster.

The monograms on this coin are not recorded in Price. The obverse die though is stylistically similar to Price 2697, perhaps coming from the same hand.
