SICILY. Syracuse. Deinomenid Tyranny. 485-466 BC. AR Tetradrachm (26mm - 17.08 g). Struck 478-472 BC. Charioteer driving walking quadriga right, holding kentron and reins; Nike flying above and crowning horses / Diademed head of Arethusa right; four dolphins swimming clockwise around. Boehringer 265 (V120/R183); SNG ANS -; Randazzo 441 (same dies). Practically EF from the stand point of wear, toned with some very minor surface roughness.
