A nice painted wood panel with a checkered design, Late Period, c. 664 – 30 BC, the colors bright and well preserved. From a funerary object such as a shrine or ushabti box. Intact, with remains of dowels and dowel-holes and well as the original dressing and paint. L: 8 5/8” (22.2 cm). Ex Los Angeles private collection.
