Description
An exceptional Roman unguent vial, c. 1st – 2nd century AD. This beautifully made bottle is 8-3/8” high and is formed with an unusual spiral pattern. The widely flared rim curves downward and the vessel is heavily encrusted with calcification. Most likely found in Egypt. From a private California collection.
